	Welcome to the inaugural edition of CommsConnect, Emerson Network Power’s newsletter for customers in the Telecommunications industry! 	Emerson Takes OPEX Reduction Workshop on The Road In April, Emerson Network Power commenced a series of workshops designed to address the dual challenges faced by Operators as they work to maintain growth but at the same time reduce costs. As further complexity plays into this equation with low value customers diluting ARPU, the need for reducing Opex can hardly be over emphasized. This current round has reached operators in Philippines and Indonesia where the key customer staff was matched one to one with senior Emerson engineering and support staff. Together they have reviewed network operating Opex ( Power & Fuel, Rentals , Repair & Maintenance) and then examined how Emerson delivers quantified savings without compromising reliability or availability.
