According to leading analyst firm, IDC, leading telecommunications operators from Australia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand and Hong Kong agree that Emerson’s power rectifiers is their top choice for Reliability and Efficiency.

Emerson Rectifiers Top Telcos’ Choice
In the survey, IDC asked telecom carriers the rectifier brands they largely deploy in their networks. The survey found out that most (75 percent) respondents own rectifiers from Emerson Network Power, and experience less than four failures in a year.

Emerson Rectifiers Better than the Rest
Telecom carriers were then asked on their perception of power rectifier’s reliability by brands; all of the respondents perceive Emerson as the most reliable brand among the rest. Their consensus is that reliability and efficiency are the primary considerations for choosing Emerson power rectifiers. According to them, the best power rectifiers are the ones that can flexibly respond to their growing network infrastructure without having to waste much power during the conversion process.

The Cost Counts!
Another interesting finding from the survey, show that telco carriers are also cost conscious. Aside from reliability and efficiency, rectifier cost is also an important consideration. They prefer to choose the brand that offers best value for money but meets at least one of the top two considerations.

Moreover, energy cost savings came out as one of the leading considerations because telecom providers across the globe are facing higher costs and environmental challenges due to increased power consumption in their networks.

Support Services also a Plus
More and more respondents perceive the vendor’s ability to provide support as an added point. They say, this attribute is also very critical in ensuring high-quality reliable services to their end-customers. They want to work with an experience vendor who can provide service and maintenance solutions that ensure that their network infrastructure will not go down and disrupt their business.
