Danny Wong Product Support Director Telecom Networks, Asia Pacific

As the product support director for Emerson’s telecom business, Danny Wong is responsible for the management and support of outside plant (OSP) solutions for the entire Asia Pacific region. He has been involved in many projects for various sectors, involving 2G/3G, WiMAX, broadband (FTTx) and TETRA networks.

His more than 10 years’ experience in the telecom industry has provided him a profound understanding of industry issues and customers’ business challenges.

“With new services coming out, mobile operators are rolling out thousands of new sites and maintaining thousands that already exist every year. With the exponential deployment rate, managing and maintaining all these sites has become more challenging and costly,” says Wong.

“My objective is to help operators effectively manage their outdoor infrastructure, reduce OPEX and maximize revenue potential by ensuring high availability of their outdoor system,” says Wong. “We’re solving this by putting more smarts into our products. Our OSP solutions are integrated with features that ensure high levels of availability through effective remote and active monitoring.”

Wong is based in Malaysia.
