Outdoor mobile sites are a key building block in the delivery and quality of mobile telephony and not surprisingly represent a significant area of Operator investment both with respect to CAPEX and OPEX. Yet with today’s economic climate, the costs of maintaining these sites are under scrutiny. Most operators are now in a tough position to do more with less. Smart OSP has been an area of interest for the Emerson team for some time and this issue of CommsConnect looks at how customers can take advantage of this area.
