Bangkok, Thailand – Energy Logic’s stop at the Centara Grand Bangkok Hotel turned successful as industry and market leaders, IT professionals, consulting engineers and alliance partners came together to discuss and resolve top issues impacting the data center community in the region.
The symposium’s theme centers on the theme ‘Enabling Energy Efficient IT Infrastructure’, which key resource speaker Ross Hammond further elaborated during the Energy Logic launch. Hammond emphasized the quantified savings, as well as the estimated ROI of Energy Logic.
“Although some energy efficient component products are more expensive than those with a lower efficiency, all the technologies used in the Energy Logic approach are available today, and can be phased into the data center as part of regular technology updates/ refreshes, minimizing capital expenditures. After the keynote presentation, ecosystem partner speakers Mongkol Asawakowitkorn (Cisco), Anothai Wettayakorn (Dell) and Siwasek Puangmaha (IBM) discussed their respective energy-efficient solutions from best-in-class technologies and practices, virtualization and server consolidation.
The afternoon session highlighted presentations from Emerson Network Power’s solutions experts – Pichet Ketruam, David Shao (racks), Ross Hammond (power), Tan Yu Ming (cooling), Peter Simon (monitoring) and Jira Chimpiboon (service).
Presentations from the morning and afternoon sessions were further bolstered with the presence of ecosystem partner booths and solutions gallery in the vicinity. These provisions gave delegates a thorough understanding on today’s best-in-class technologies.
The event concluded with a ‘Ask the Experts’ session. Delegates were given the opportunity to ask questions, which the speakers readily answered. After the 40-minute session, winners of the AdaptiveXchange Asia 2008 were announced. The winners will fly free to China to join another Emerson Network Power-hosted event.
