Taipei, Taiwan – Industry and market leaders, IT professionals, consulting engineers and ecosystem partners gathered for a symposium event on Energy Logic on May 8 at the Sunworld Dynasty Hotel to discuss energy efficiency issues and share knowledge on reducing energy consumption in a data center.
The symposium event’s theme ‘Enabling Energy Efficient IT Infrastructure’ provides delegates specific steps to help IT and data center managers prioritize their efforts and give them a place to start.
Leading the event is resource speaker Philip Hu, Emerson Network Power’s general manager for Taiwan. Hu discussed the latest roadmap to data center energy optimization. Moreover, Hu provided insights on how the Energy Logic approach could quantify savings and ensure ROI.
Over a hundred delegates joined the event, including ecosystem partner speakers Andy Chien (Cisco), Cantique Ma (Dell) and Jacky Teng (IBM). The speakers presented a wide range of topics ranging from best-in-class technologies and practices to server virtualization and consolidation.
The event’s afternoon session, meanwhile, highlighted Emerson Network Power’s full range of innovative power, cooling, rack and enclosure, monitoring and services for computer, communications, healthcare and industrial systems. Featured speakers in this session include Philip Hu, Russell Perry, Arunangshu Chattopadhyay, Harry Hong, Leo Ho and David Shu.
After the series of presentations, an “Ask the Experts” segment was held. The 40-minute session engaged audience to ask questions, most of which were focused on racks and cooling.
