Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – Industry and market leaders, IT professionals, consulting engineers and alliance partners came together for a symposium event on Energy Logic on April 2 at the New World Hotel Saigon to discuss the importance of energy efficiency and share knowledge on reducing energy consumption in a data center.
The symposium event’s action plan calls for ‘Enabling Energy Efficient IT Infrastructure”. Commencing the event is key resource speaker Chan Chee Wah, Managing Director of Emerson Network Power for Southeast Asia. Chan expounded on Energy Logic solutions together with its quantified savings in the symposium event.
One hundred eighty-five participants attended the symposium event, including ecosystem partner speakers Alex Tay Soon Lai (IBM), Phan Thanh Son (Cisco) and Vu Luong Thien (Dell). The speakers discussed a wide range of topics ranging from best-in-class technologies and practices, virtualization and consolidation.

Meanwhile, Emerson Network Power speakers Chan, Andy Liu, Arunangshu Chattopadhyay, Tan Yu Ming, Peter Simon, and Eric Rivas elaborated the significance of the Energy Logic approach, racks, power, high-density cooling, monitoring and service solutions, respectively.
These presentations were further supported by an Energy Logic Solutions Gallery, as well as by the ecosystem partners’ booths that provided participants with related literature on their latest energy-efficient solutions.
After the series of presentations, an “Ask the Experts” segment was held. The 40-minute session engaged audience to ask questions, most of which were focused on racks and cooling.
