Companies today want to use cloud technology to make their businesses more efficient, hoping to deliver apps, storage, computing power and infrastructure on demand. Unfortunately, many organizations are letting the bright promise of the cloud distract them from first ensuring that their existing infrastructures are up for the challenge.
In this issue, we revisit cloud computing and separate what's fact from fiction. In doing so, we paint a more realistic perspective of cloud computing, and underscore how moving into the cloud is not without significant investment or preparation.
We’re thrilled to announce that the 7th iteration of our biannual Market Pulse survey has just wrapped up! Watch out for the results in next month's issue, when we discuss where the Asian data center market is headed (based on responses from data center players) and what can/should be done to use current industry trends to one’s advantage.
Cheers,

Cloud computing advocates argue that a strong driver for adoption is IT cost reduction. Some cloud computing advocates also claim that flexible online applications can help streamline business processes and maximize the effectiveness of distributed employees. More |
