Studies suggest that worldwide Green IT usage can save $800 billion in annual energy costs by 2020. Understandably, more companies are beginning to invest in greening their IT facilities in response. As a global leader in maximizing availability, capacity and efficiency of critical infrastructure, companies regularly seek the help of Emerson Network Power to employ energy-efficient technologies in their respective facilities.

Currently, Emerson Network Power is helping build Asia's largest green data centre, as part of a consortium of IT providers put together by Malaysia-based IT services provider Teliti International.

Teliti's data centre -- designed for maximum performance, efficiency and availability -- was conceptualized by putting together industry-standard best practices for the critical facility. In this month's issue of Network News, we put the spotlight on Teliti's data centre and share some best practices that you too can apply to your own facility.
