|
Manila, Philippines September 17, 2009 – Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson (NYSE:EMR) and the global leader in enabling Business-Critical Continuity™, announced the promotion of Katrina Tirante to Marketing Manager for Southeast Asia.
The promotion reflects her exceptional contributions and achievements in many aspects of the marketing communications function. With the support of her team, she has been instrumental in the development of marketing & sales collaterals, online resources & tools, branding and outreach programs. Her dedication enabled the business to extend its marketing reach in the region and communicate a consistent message to its customers and partners.
She will manage Emerson’s already extensive marketing activities in Southeast Asia. Working closely with customers, partners and Emerson country business leaders, she will be responsible for the rollout of programs that address Emerson’s key market segments in IT and telecommunications as well as for emerging audience groups. “Our core ITC markets are ultra dynamic, they continue to rely on infrastructure partners such as Emerson to enable new technologies, new paths to efficiencies as well as better total cost of ownership position,” says Tirante. “And as a consequence, our business throughout the region continues to grow. My focus will be in three basic areas; bringing the value of our Enterprise IT experience to the SMB market, working with our telecom operator customers on OPEX and efficiency improvements and continuing the focus in enterprise on energy but very much via the rollout of our next-gen ITC infrastructure program.”
“I am excited to move to a position that brings me closer to our customers. Marketing at Emerson is really about developing a conversation with our customers and markets,” says Tirante. “I have a story to tell but, more importantly, for me is to listen to our customers first. Our approach at Emerson is about solving problems it has shaped our portfolio of products and services as it has shaped our go-to-market model. It’s my responsibility to understand current and emerging challenges in SEA and then tell ITC professions how Emerson resolves them.”
Katrina holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications Technology Management from the Ateneo de Manila University and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of the Philippines. She is based in the Philippines.
