The interactive and educational event brought together the country’s leading telecom operators and system integrators in a one-day forum to explore persisting challenges and identify solutions for deploying high-performance networks.
CommsConnect was developed to address the increasing demands for flexibility and efficiency in today’s growing networks. The event’s Operator’s Day session featured breakthroughs in IT&C infrastructure solution for improved efficiency and network integrity; in-depth discussions that address energy savings and operational costs; and consultations with experts to address business-critical continuity and network stability matters.
The Operator’s Day session discussed on cost-saving solutions and approaches about energy use and critical resource constraints without compromising network performance and flexibility. It also featured Emerson’s extensive solutions portfolio including eSure™ high efficiency rectifier, smart outside plants (OSP), NetSure™ DC power, and renewable power system solutions.
Each product featured has its OPEX Savings portion. Participants learned how to achieve quantifiable savings and return on their technology investments by incorporating new technologies and best practices.

According to Emerson experts, based on the discussions they have had with operators, their biggest challenge was a need to improve facilities while reducing operating expenditure. “Most of the inquiries we hear are on energy efficiency-related solutions and the tactics they can use to save business money,” says Ang Soon Lee, director for bid management and pricing of Emerson Network Power.
