Andre Smit Managing Director, Data Center Asia Pacific Cisco Systems
Andre Smit is the Managing Director for Data Center, Cisco Systems in Asia Pacific. Reporting to Owen Chan, President for Asia Pacific, Mr. Smit’s primary responsibility is to drive the Data Center business that has been indentified as one of the primary areas of focus across Cisco. In his role, he will lead the Data Center team across APAC, drive partner relationships and be the primary interface for all Business Unit related decisions in theatre.
A Cisco stalwart of over eleven years, Mr. Smit started his career in the company as a systems engineer in Cisco’s South African office, where he helped to establish Cisco as the communications provider of choice to large enterprises, service providers and the government.
He has since risen up the ranks in the company, assuming managerial positions for Africa and the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regions. Prior to joining the APAC team, he was responsible for building and developing the Emerging Markets region in Europe spanning Russia, Central Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Before taking up his current position, he led the Advanced Technology and Product management teams for APAC as well as Systems Engineering and Corporate Social responsibility.
Mr. Smit is a qualified CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Actuarial Sciences from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. He currently lives in Singapore with his wife and two children. |

His core responsibilities include technical business planningfor South Asia; industry trend identification; and technical team development. He has worked in the field of IP communications for over 20 years in the US, Europe and Australia focusing on IP networks and security. The past eight years have been in Australia as a Consulting Systems Engineer at Cisco. Brad has achieved CCIE, JNCIS-FWV, and CISSP certifications and has a Masters degree in Computer Science from the University of California. |

Dylan Morison has been in the IT industry for the past 15 years with companies such as Ninemsn and Cisco Systems. Dylan has been at Cisco for the past 10 years, the last 5 years as Data Centre General Manager for Australia & New Zealand. In 2002, Dylan launched Cisco’s industry leading MDS9000 Storage switching platform which is now # 1 in the director class product range in ANZ with 300+ enterprise customers. Febru is currently responsible for supporting the business development of Cisco’s Advance Technology, specifically in Data Center Technology. He is providing the solution design of those technologies. He has over 10 years of experience and a strong technical networking background in IT technology.
Febru has been with Cisco for 2 years as a system engineer for Service Provider Market. Before coming to Cisco, Febru worked for a UNIX system vendor in Jakarta, providing system & network design to service provider customers. Prior to that, he worked for a variety of IT System Integrator companies, as a network and system engineer.
Febru is an Electronic Engineer graduated from ITB. His previous experiences in different environment enriched him with broad knowledge of the environment of Oil & Gas, banking & Telco industries. |

Phan Thanh Son Manager of Business Development Cisco Systems Vietnam
Phan Thanh Son is the Manager of Business Development of Cisco Systems Vietnam. Son has 14 years experience in ICT industry. He has actively participated in the process of implementation, support, consultancy and design network solutions for many Service Providers, Enterprise, and Small-Medium Business in Vietnam since 1997, when he was working for Equant-SITA (now belong to French Telecom).
Early 2000, Son joined Cisco as a system engineer. In 2003, he was promoted to System Engineer Manager of Cisco Systems Vietnam. Since 2007, he is Manager of Business Development and Operation Manager of Cisco Vietnam. With over seven years of experience with Cisco Vietnam, his main responsibility is to develop strategic business direction and develop technology resources for Cisco Vietnam and partners; develop markets and promote Cisco’s advanced technologies and solutions in Vietnam. Being an Operation Manager, he is responsible for supporting Cisco Vietnam’s Country Manager to implement effectively processes, programs, and initiatives of Cisco’s Enterprise Architecture framework, as well as building a long term development strategy for Cisco Vietnam. Son works closely with Cisco IT to use Cisco IT capabilities to enable business plan implementations, increase productivity and facilitate innovation at Cisco Vietnam, as well as sharing experience of Cisco IT via Cisco IT@Work program to customers and partners in Vietnam.
Son is representing Cisco Systems Vietnam to participate in Vietnam ICT Associations such as Vietnam Association for Information Processing, HCMC Computer Association, ICT Partnership Club, etc. Before joining Cisco Systems, Son was Professional Service Manager of Equant-SITA Vietnam. While this time he participated actively in Vietnam’s Internet network – VNN projects from 1997. Three years prior, he was an ICT engineer at Vietsovpetro, supporting IT systems, communication network, and automation systems. Between 1992 and 1994, he was lead engineer of TRADEVICO-IBC that was first IBM Business Partner in Vietnam, where he participated in implementations and supports the IT systems of Taxation, Ministry of Finance, and Treasury.
Son graduated from Information Technology faculty of Ho Chi Minh City Polytechnic. Before that he studied at Communication faculty of the Institute of Military Technology. |

Ranajoy Punja Vice President, Business Development – Advanced Technologies, Cisco India & SAARC
Ranajoy Punja is Vice President, Business Development – Advanced Technologies for Cisco Systems, the worldwide leader of networking for the Internet, for the India & SAARC Region. He has been responsible for Cisco's India & SAARC region marketing operations since June 2003. Ranajoy has over thirteen years of extensive marketing and technical experience in the networking and telecommunications industry.
Ranajoy joined Cisco in 1996 at Cisco's Corporate Headquarters in San Jose and has worked in both the US and APAC markets during his career with Cisco with significant experience in both the service provider and enterprise markets.
Prior to his current role, Ranajoy was responsible for the development and implementation of Cisco's worldwide product marketing strategies, positioning, and programs, for the company's multi-billion dollar Cisco Catalyst 4500 Series product line. He has been a key contributor to Cisco's marketing strategy that has helped increase Cisco's overall Ethernet switching market leadership.
Ranajoy was instrumental in successfully developing and executing Cisco's Asia Pacific go-to-market strategy for the service provider Voice over IP and packet telephony market when based in the Singapore, Cisco's Asia Pacific headquarters, from 1999 to 2001.
He has also been responsible for driving advanced sales and marketing strategies on packet telephony and access products and solutions for service providers and enterprises in North and South America.
Prior to joining Cisco, Ranajoy spent five years at Tandem Computers, USA. Ranajoy has a BS and MS in Computer Engineering from the University of California and an MBA from San Jose State. |

Sumit Mukhija National Business Development Manager, Storage and Data Center, Cisco Sumit Mukhija brings more than 13 years of related work experience, with 6-year expertise in storage. Mukhija is currently focused on driving Cisco's storage-networking business and market leadership in India and SAARC, and responsible for the company's data center business initiatives.

Terry Seeto Product Specialist Cisco Data Center (Asia) Terry has been in the computing/networking industry for the past 16 years and is currently a Product Specialist with Cisco’s Data Center Asia team. One of his key areas of responsibilities is managing and overseeing the adoption of Cisco’s Data Center technologies for the Asia region – with particular emphasis on Malaysia, Thailand and Philippines.
Terry has been with Cisco for more than 8 years and during this time has worked in a number of different capacities including Systems Engineer, Consulting Systems Engineer, Product Marketing Manager, Product Manager and prior to his current role was a Solutions Manager. His technology focus has included Cisco’s Catalyst Switches, Routers and Security products. And today his focus is on Data Center solutions and technology offerings.
Terry also holds a number of industry certifications including Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE #3119). |
