IT Channel Getting More Value; Emerson Network Power Getting More Accolades
Columbus, Ohio (June 2, 2008) — Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson (NYSE:EMR) and the global leader in enabling Business-Critical Continuity™, is riding a wave of momentum within its Emerson Network Power Network Solutions Partner channel program amid several initiatives based on easy-to-order, reliable power and cooling, and rack products backed by local expert resources.
IT resellers confirmed the benefits of using Emerson Network Power solutions via feedback provided to top trade media outlets. CMP Media’s Everything Channel business honored Emerson and its products with the 2008 Computer Reseller News (CRN) Channel Champions award for Program and Support in the UPS Data Center Power Management category. CRN’s annual Channel Champions awards are based on survey results from solution providers across technical, channel and financial criteria.
Earlier this year, VARBusiness magazine featured Emerson in its special “Attack of the Alternatives” issue. Stan Lichenstein, president of Global Technologies and an Emerson Network Power Network Solutions Partner, said in the article that his commitment to Emerson’s Power UPS products comes down to a triangle of elements: price, quality, and delivery.
“In my opinion, Emerson is second to none in those three areas,” Lichenstein was quoted. “We let the units speak for themselves. Let (customers) make the decision based on pure performance."
Steven Burke, author of the “Attack of the Alternatives” overview story, noted in his article, “Customers of all stripes are looking for improved ROI and are more willing to place a bet on innovative technology that delivers more bang for the buck. In fact, alternative vendors are being embraced at a record-setting clip.
Tom Karabinos, director of partner channels, Emerson Network Power Products and Services, attributed the momentum to an increased understanding among resellers about how Emerson products can increase revenues through expanded customer relationships, and increased IT equipment and services sales as customers grapple with business continuity issues such as server consolidation and deployment of IP telephony solutions.
“We believe that Emerson’ products enable resellers to get more value by removing constraints to their customers’ data center growth via deployment of reliable, flexible and business-critical power, cooling and monitoring solutions that are easy to sell, install, use and maintain,” Karabinos said.
In the Asia Pacific region, meanwhile, the Network Solutions Partner program – still in its nascent state – is beginning to gain momentum, as more resellers gain a better understanding on how Emerson’s solutions can help their client’s bottom line. Moreover, more campaigns and programs have been launched to further support resellers in extending their customer relationships.
